The Mobile Switch Center (MSC) Building Expansion Project is a mission critical live environment building addition. The project includes construction of a new 2-story 20,000-sf building addition with drilled piers to bedrock. The project includes the safe off and demolition of an existing warehouse and 200-foot cell tower. LPC is adding four DP-400 cooling units and an additional 6 MW of critical power systems to the site, which entails constructing two new power plants, installing a new battery plant and UPS system, and tying in the system back to the existing Network Operations Center. All work currently completed has been in new and live environments with zero downtime.
